Most of the novels I work with have a serious tone - this one didn't. It was really fun to work on an illustration that needed to convey a lighter mood - I got the chance to play a lot with colours and shapes and textures. 12/10, would definitely recommend the experience! ☕️

I had this idea in my mind for a long time, and I finally had the time and energy to bring it to life. I have several dragon-related artworks started - for some reason it was a recurring theme in my sketches lately.

We did just enter Mermay though, so expect a different creature next. :3
