When in doubt, go back to your comfort zone - which for me means painting women in armour with flowers. 😅

This is my SECOND personal artwork this year, and I hope it means that I'm finally getting back to my normal mode of functioning. Painting this was really fun and relaxing - I do have moments when leaves and other small details really frustrate me, but I also have moments when they're almost meditative to work on.

Here's to many more paintings like this in the following months!

I've been showing you mostly fantasy covers lately, and in the meantime I'm also working on a lot of non-fiction. These books usually take longer - I'm usually working on the cover first, the layout later, and preparing the latter tends to take both the authors and myself more time.

This book is still waiting for typesetting, but I can show you the cover already - I'm a bit fan of a minimalist non-fiction approach. 😉
