It's #Mermay time of the year! 🧜‍♀️

First of all, thank you for helping me choose the right version - to all of you who voted in the poll, and to @tiarneart who made some very insightful comments. I went for a variant with red bottom, but a bit more subtle than in the original attempt. The underwater lighting and colours were definitely a challenge, though - I had to figure out how to make it look believable, but not washed out. I hope you like the result!

Yearly #Mermay throwback! Even though I mostly switched to painting, I still think the old photomanips look pretty cool 😎 The experience I got by doing photomanipulations definitely was a huge benefit when learning painting... but it was (and still is!) a long road!

I'm working on a new mermaid artwork - a painted one 😉 - and I'll show it to you most likely next month! ♥️
